Construction season in Alaska has started and we are actively seeking a strong Construction Project Manager for a small and very aggressive construction company that has provided construction services to the southcentral region for decades. Their focus is to provide the best service with good equipment, strong talent, and ultimately repeat clients for multi-million dollar projects in high traffic areas.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, executing, cost control, and closure of the multiple construction project throughout the state. Most of the projects will start in mid-May and end in early Fall, so the opportunity for the right candidate to work season yet get paid year around would be the right fit. This position will be vital to the profitability and repeatability of clients based on their excellent ability to manage a tight budget, track materials and supplies, engage and retain excellent subcontracts, and ensure all necessary permits are acquired within a timely manner and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
The must have qualifications for this positions include 5+ years of civil construction engineering, preferably in the State of Alaska, a bachelor degree in Construction Management from an accredited college, existing relationships with the private and public sectors, and exceptional experience in operating Excel and other construction software.
